Lucius' Character Sheet

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
General
Name: Lucius Malfoy
Nicknames (and who is likely to use them): Unless your name is Narcissa I wouldn't recommend using one if you want your character to stay unhexed.
Age: 51
Birthday: April 30, 1954
Place of Residence (an address in Hogsmeade unless something else has been decided with the mods) 7 Church Street, Upper Slaughter

Appearance
Height: 6 feet
Weight: 176
Eyes: grey
Hair Colour & Style: It used to be platinum blonde, but started turning grey in Azkaban. Too proud to admit this, Lucius charms it back to his old colour. He wears it long, sometimes tied back with a bow.
Skin tone: Pale
Build: He's not as fit as he used to be, and has a softness to his stomach that wasn't there a few years ago. Though still very fit for a man of his age and quite strong and muscular.
Distinguishing Marks: The faint traces of the Dark mark on his arm, the mark of an arrow on the sole of his feet, a scar across his right upper arm from a slashing hex that wasn't healed in time.
Dress Style: (remember that most wizards would wear robes, and that there is a war going on which might effect supplies) Lucius is a snob, and he'd never dress in anything but the finest materials and cuts. Unfortunately they are not always as easy to come by in Upper Slaughter, so some of them are a bit more worn than he'd like. When possible, however, Lucius uses Tom to establish black market contacts to arrange new ones. He usually prefer black as it suits him, especially in combination of silver and green. If wearing other colours they are usually dark and classic.
Things they would always carry with them (optional): His wand, his Malfoy crest ring and his cane (more because he needs it than a fashion statement, though he's not likely to admit it)
Other:

Health
Disabilities/Handicaps: Lucius has a bad knee, one that has been bothering him for more years than he'd like to admit. It's the reason he started wearing a cane, though he's later created an image of it as a part of his style. He refuses to walk with a limp, and as a result his walk can be described as lazy, again something he pretends is completely on purpose.
Health in general – both mental and physical: After Azkaban Lucius health never went back to what it was. He's prone to colds, has suffered pneumonia more than once, and ends up out of breath sooner than before. As a result given up on much of the sports he'd enjoyed as younger, claiming that they can't be done well in Upper Slaughter anyways. As a result his physique is no longer what it was, though he does find ways to keep himself and his appearance in check as he's too vain not to. Mentally his health is as good as can be expected, though he's slightly on the paranoid side at times.
Other:

Personality
First Impression (others have of you): Haughty and arrogant or friendly and charming – all depending on what side he decides to show you.
General Behaviour: Lucius is a manipulator. If he finds you important he can play to your fancy, flatter you and have you eating out of his hand – or if that fails, bribe or blackmail you into submitting to his will. Combined with his wealth, importance and Narcissa's skills of finding out people's dirty little secrets he was once one of the most powerful wizards in Britain. Being outed as a Death Eater, however, left him alone without his fortune, influence or wife. Alone he is still skilled at manipulation, but has a harder time of getting to the people most important to manipulate. His goal is to become as powerful as he was – his means his sister-in-law and her husband as he cannot see that as happening with either McGonagall or Ogden in charge.
Strengths: His ability to impress people, or to find their weaknesses. He has a sixth sense of danger and of avoiding it, though this sometimes falters when the danger is underestimated. He is an excellent schemer and organiser and is good at keeping people loyal to the cause through various means.
Weaknesses: Lucius's greatest weakness is his pride and inflexibility. His pride can cause him to underestimate others, and his inflexibility leaves him unable to adjust his views (though he has been known to adjust his tune outwardly if never his ways).
Habits: He snorts when he's thinking you're a fool, toys with his cane or ring when he's bored and when he has a lot on his mind he's prone to 'take walks' meaning disappearing into the herbal garden or greenhouse as he finds the dealing with plants relaxing (not that anyone would know this).
Enjoys: Good wine and food, good literature and music, his family's company, riding, Muggle torturing, the Imperius, Herbology (much to his own annoyance)
Dislikes: Being separated from his wife and son, weakness, blood-traitors (worse than mudbloods in his mind as they actively choose to abandon the pureblood way)
Other: He is set firm in his beliefs and the time spent at Azkaban – and now in Upper Slaughter – has only made his views firmer. He refuses to see any error of his ways and views – or even admit to the currant war as being anything but right – as admitting anything of the kind would also be admitting to having to having put his family at risk for nothing. That, more than anything, is not something he is willing to face, and hence he sticks with his old views, convincing himself that he's fighting for what is right and best.

Family
Spouse/partner (if applicable): Narcissa Malfoy
Parents: Abraxas and Clarice Malfoy (both dead)
Sibling(s): None
Children: Draco Malfoy
Bloodline: Pure
Family History: The Malfoys are a family going back through hundreds of years. Always aristoracy, always pure.
Pets: An eagle owl by the name of Hera
Other: In spite of him no longer being the legal owner of Malfoy Manor, the manor's magic still recognises him as it's rightful owner – and hence he can feel the house in a way no one else – not even Draco – can. This means, that while Draco's new wards block him out of the house, he still knows more about what's going on inside its walls than Draco thinks he does. He knows when someone comes and goes, and where in the house they are, as well if their intentions are good or bad.

In addition to feeling the wards, Lucius regularly talks to several of the portraits of the house, as well as those of the house elves that still think of him as their legal owner. Through them he's getting rapports of what is going on in the house, unbeknownst to Draco who might suspect the house elves, but do not know of the miniature portraits he has of some of their relatives. Hence, Lucius knows of his son's loyalties, though this is information he does not share with Rodolphus. What he does share is information that he thinks might be good for keeping Draco's cover. As much as he wants the Lestranges to win the war, he wants his son to survive it more. To Lucius there is nothing more important than the survival of his family.

Social/Romantic/Sexual
Close Friendships: Rodolphus, Rabastian, Fenrir
Known Enemies: Arthur Weasley, Weasleys in general, Harry Potter, The Order. Recently Snape, who he blames for his son's views and actions.
Sexual Preference: Straight – or so he says (he's lying through his teeth on this one)
Turn Ons: Blonde hair, cleverness, someone who knows what she (or he) wants.
Turn Offs: Meekness, red hair, people who doesn't claim what is theirs. Mudbloods and blood-traitors.
Past Relationships: The only real relationship that Lucius will ever admit to is Narcissa. Before Narcissa became his wife, Lucius was, however, engaged to Andromeda Black, though this was never a relationship as such. Neither he nor Andromeda (nor Narcissa) was ever asked about this arrangement – he was simply to marry the oldest one of the two unmarried sisters. The fact that he was already involved with Narcissa was seen as irrelevant. As Lucius knew about, and was disgusted by, her affair with a Mudblood (and because he only ever wanted Narcissa) he was not having it. Talking to Ted Tonks in the disguise of a friend of his (by means of polyjuice), he advised him to take what was his, then played the part of the scorned fiancé when Andromeda ran off. He demanded Narcissa in compensation of the violation, something the Black family was only too happy to offer – terrified that she'd be tainted by her sisters "horrifying" actions.
What they think about sex and love In spite of his seemingly detached appearance, Lucius loves Narcissa dearly. He has never once cheated on her, and even now, separated from her as he is, he is true to his wife. He intends to stay that way until one of them dies.
</b>Other: Narcissa is to this day the only woman Lucius has ever bedded (though not the only person, but both he and Don Montague keeps quiet of this).

He is fiercely proud of his son, though he does not always (not even often) agree with his ways. Draco's move to lock him out of the manor after so skilfully getting it back did not please him, and his annoyance at his son's behaviour sometimes clouds his mind. He wants to just be proud, but find that he cannot be but disapproving of his actions.

Magical
Wand Type: Ebony, Dragon heartstring, 12 inches
Magical talents: Potions (much more so than people think, which suits him well), Transfiguration, The Unforgivables (especially the Imperius), Herbology (much to his annoyance and definitely nothing he'd admit to)
Magical weaknesses/aversions (what your character can't or won't do): Runes – no matter how he tries, they just doesn't get them. Care of magical creatures. Apart from owls he doesn't like them.
First sign of magic – when and what: He was five when his mother locked him into his room after misbehaving, he was kicking and screaming at the door when suddenly it unlocked itself and opened up.
Boggart: A slain dragon (while he would never admit to this, he knows the dragon of his boggart is his son)
Knows how to Apparate (y/n): yes
Knows how to cast a patronus (y/n – if yes what?): yes – it's a dragon, and the first time he was able to do it was on the day Draco was born. Draco gets his name from this.
Knows how to use the unforgivables (y/n): Yes, and does, often.
Other:

Schooling:
Year: 1965-1972

Electives s/he would have taken: Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Care of Magical Creatures (dropped after he reached OWL level)
Best Mates: Don Montague

Level of education reached (do your characters have OWLs/NEWTs – none of the above? Have they gone on to some type of training? Remember that there is no wizarding uni and that there is a war going on): Lucius took NEWTS in all his subjects save for Ancient Runes (tried and failed) and Care of Magical Creatures (had dropped the subject before it was NEWT time).
Other:

Current Occupation: Death Eater
Other Occupations (side incomes, volunteer work, illegal activities): Has no other occupation

Other:

Current situation

Role in the ongoing war: Soldier, planner, organiser

Finally
What is your character's deepest, darkest secret (one that other game characters probably wouldn't know and that he/she would prefer they didn't find out about) Also list the names of anyone who might know, or might be suspicious of this knowledge:

* He was instrumental in making Andromeda run off and marry Ted Tonks (no one knows this)

* He was a virgin when he first bedded Narcissa as far as women goes. (Narcissa knows this)

* He is not only skilled at Herbology, he greatly enjoys it. He has a greenhouse and herbal garden to grow magical plants in that he takes care of mostly by himself. He does this under the pretence of "taking walks" as this is not something he wants others to find out about. He thinks it would tarnish his image if people knew he liked something so mundane and working class. (Narcissa might suspect this)

* In spite of his son's attempt to keep him away, Lucius has been in almost daily contact with Narcissa through a locket he gave her long ago. To everyone else this locket is just a picture of him, to her, she can see and talk to him as you would see and talk to someone through a two way mirror. Now when she has started to venture outside of Nott Manor, he has every intention of finally seeing her again. (Narcissa knows this)

* Lucius has on several occasions ventured into Hogsmeade with the aid of polyjuice potions. He has no intention of not knowing what goes on in his son's life and has several time visited Escapism and the Bat wings. He's seen the ring on Tracey's finger and has studied her enough (even talked to her a couple of times at the club) to know she'll be the perfect Malfoy wife. He keeps this to himself, making sure not even the Lestrangers know as he does not want to be put to spy on his son. (Narcissa would know this)
